We purchased the above T/V from Ken Kranes at a high price of $4000 about 2 years ago. Unfortunately we didnot purchase the extended warranty as we presumed that Samsung products are of high quality. However, this was not the case as the T/V suddenly stopped working with no indication of a breakdown whatsoever.

This T/V is only used as a 2nd T/v and is only watched in the evenings. We contacted Ken Kranes and Samsung Electronics who bluntly refused to repair their product and referred us to a 3rd party company who informed that the power supply had given way and is charging us an exhorbitant rate to repair this TV

When I informed Samsung that we paid a high price for their product and that they should offer to repair it, they informed "that products do break and that they are not liable to do any repairs".

We are very disappointed at the arrogant reply that we received and we are warning buyers to beware of purchasing Samsung products as their after sales service ***. We do have a T/v that we have been using for the past 5 years "Sylvania" and this product has not given us any problems for the longest time.
