Samsung have not bothered to reply to me ,but in phone calls just said I must have been scared I have kept the cord and the plug that fitted into the back of the tv screen, plug is totally melted exposing metal prong of the plug. If I had not been in the room or if a person had in ignorance thrown water on the electrical fire, there would have been disaster.
Sorry.got the model wrong ..it was a Series 5...530, model LN40A530 P1Fxzc ..tv made a huge crack sound, flames shot up behind bottom left corner where plug entered rear of screen.Remote could not turn off set. Had to unplug at the wall socket.Electrician examined circuit breaker panel box and wall outlet, they are fine.saw the melted plug and wrote that no doubt plug and socket into which it fitted in rear of screen were faulty.
Dangerous. Samsung warn of fire in new Tv set booklets..so know problem exists.
