Have the white dot problem that it seems a ton of people are having. They will replace dlp chips in certain models not mine.

They know these chips are defective but claim it is wear and tear. My model is the hl56a650 serial number akwf3ckqa012 which Samsung claims doesn't have a chip problem. I have read numerous complaints about the same model and samsung always comes back with the same script it's out of warranty wear and tear ect.

offer to set up a service and have me pay for the new chip and service. If the knowingly sell TVs with faulty hardware and then hide behind their one year warranty I cannot buy or recommend samsung again.

Were you told the television came with anything other than the one year warranty when you made the purchase? Have you checked with the retailer you purchased it through? Many people are uncomfortable with the short warranties some products come with an choose to purchase longer warranties through the retailer.

The problem is samsung using faulty chips and replacing some models and not others. Do you think a company like samsung should produce TVs that work outside the year warranty?
